Death of the Rose

The sun which used to shine so bright
disappeared in the cool spring night
Never to shine again down upon
the rose who just started to blossom

No warmth to grace her evermore
her love leaving , quiet tears did pour
a piercing pain seared straight through
her heart, from losing her love so true

Quickly the rose began to fade
her petals on the floor now do lay
Never again  will the rose blossom
her beauty was meant for just the one

With her last dying breath
she whispered softly into death
"forevermore throughout eternity
my love will continue  on for thee."
