THE FEAR OF MY HEART

Deep within this heavy heart
Is a fear grasping as a strong hand
Digging in, gouging, twisting
Holding tightly, not letting go
‘what you ask’ causes such grief
the fear of not being with thee
not feeling thy arms holding me to thee
not feeling thy lips upon mine once more
oh yes, my love I have felt thy lips
upon mine an I have tasted thee,
I have felt thy warmth
As we laid together once before
So there my love, is my fear
Which holds firmly onto my heart
Not having thy love
Here with me, forevermore.
